𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼 𝗣𝗮𝗼𝗹𝗼 "𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱" 𝗗. 𝗩𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗜𝗜𝗜 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 was awarded Best Actor on November 30, 2024, at the Ima Wa Ima Asian International Film Festival for his leading role in the film, "𝘗𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘢."

The Ima Wa Ima Asian International Film Festival is a prestigious annual event in Osaka, Japan that celebrates outstanding cinematic achievements across Asian film, television, and new media. This recognition marks Alfred’s third Best Actor award from the festival, placing him among the elite circle of "three-peat-in-one-movie Best Actors."Prior to this, Alfred also received the Best Actor award at the 72nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards and the 3rd WuWei Taipei International Film Festival for the same movie.

Alfred Vargas' rise to stardom began with lead roles in iconic soap operas like "𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘬𝘰 𝘚𝘢'𝘠𝘰" and "𝘌𝘯𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘢", as well as acclaimed films such as "𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰" (2012) and "𝘛𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘶𝘢𝘯" (2020). His remarkable performances have garnered numerous accolades, including the 10th Golden Screen Awards Best Actor for 𝘚𝘶𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰 and the Dangal ng Lipi Award in 2010.Alfred obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Economics from Ateneo de Manila University in 2002. In 2021, he completed his master’s degree in public administration at the UP National College of Public Administration and Governance.
