Alfred Vargas Wins Best Actor in Osaka International Film Festival
๐๐น๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ผ๐น๐ผ "๐๐น๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ" ๐. ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ด๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฌ was awarded Best Actor on November 30, 2024, at the Ima Wa Ima Asian International Film Festival for his leading role in the film, "๐๐ช๐ฆ๐ต๐ข."
The Ima Wa Ima Asian International Film Festival is a prestigious annual event in Osaka, Japan that celebrates outstanding cinematic achievements across Asian film, television, and new media. This recognition marks Alfredโs third Best Actor award from the festival, placing him among the elite circle of "three-peat-in-one-movie Best Actors."Prior to this, Alfred also received the Best Actor award at the 72nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards and the 3rd WuWei Taipei International Film Festival for the same movie.
Alfred Vargas' rise to stardom began with lead roles in iconic soap operas like "๐๐ข๐ฏ๐จ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฐ ๐๐ข'๐ ๐ฐ" and "๐๐ฏ๐ค๐ข๐ฏ๐ต๐ข๐ฅ๐ช๐ข", as well as acclaimed films such as "๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฐ" (2012) and "๐๐ข๐จ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ข๐ฏ" (2020). His remarkable performances have garnered numerous accolades, including the 10th Golden Screen Awards Best Actor for ๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฐ and the Dangal ng Lipi Award in 2010.Alfred obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Economics from Ateneo de Manila University in 2002. In 2021, he completed his masterโs degree in public administration at the UP National College of Public Administration and Governance.
