Architect Alec Zaballero Inducted Into Retail Design Legion of Honor

Architect ๐—”๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ท๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐—ฟ๐—ผ ๐—”๐˜‚๐—ด๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ผ "๐—”๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฐ" ๐—ญ๐—ฎ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ผ '๐Ÿด๐Ÿฐ was inducted into the prestigious Retail Design Legion of Honor at the Retail Design Instituteโ€™s 53rd International Design Awards held in New York City on October 17, 2024.

The Retail Design Legion of Honor, bestowed by the Retail Design Institute, represents one of the highest accolades in the field of retail design. It is awarded to professionals whose careers are marked by a series of exceptional achievements and who have demonstrably elevated the standards and prospects of retail design. Arch.

Alec has played a significant role at TPG Architecture, where he has been the Managing Executive since April 2017, specializing in various sectors such as Retail and Hospitality, with offices in New York City and Long Island. Prior to his current role, Alec served as the Principal at TPG Architecture from 1999 to 2017, overseeing major strategic and development projects. His earlier career included positions as Senior Designer at Walker Group/CNI and Project Designer at Rockwell Group, where he developed a strong foundation in design and project management.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of the Philippines Diliman, followed by a Master of Architecture from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After this, he also received a Master of Design Studies in Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Alec is a second-generation Upsilonian, the son of the late Augusto "Toti" Zaballero '51.
