Los Baños Illustrious Fellow Reymar Cabatu recently reported on the success of the Gerntong Ani program held in Alfonso, Cavite November 11 and 12. The program was developed by the resident chapter as part of the month-long celebration of the fraternity's 105th anniversary. It was designed as an immersion program for our brods to fully interact with residents of the farming community and to work with the Kaysuyo Farmers Association. Our resident brods integrated with the community and joined the farmers in their everyday work, they also delivered donations and conducted workshops.

Fellows from various agricultural fields of study were in attendance and able to share their insight and know-how on various topics that were crucial to the success of the farming community.

Bossman Reymar also added that the residents are currently in the process of collaborating with the University and the Animal Science Industry to possibly donate a top-of-the-line climate-controlled broiler house system in the UPLB University Farm to give back to the university and support the students in the field.
