The Upsilon Sigma Phi Alumni Association (USPAA) will be holding its 20th Upsilon Congress on February 8, 2025, at the Ang Bahay ng Alumni, University of the Philippines, Diliman. With the theme “Brothers for Life, Mentors Forever,” the Congress will bring together alumni and resident fellows for a day of meaningful discussions, leadership development, and fraternity-building.

This year’s Congress seeks to address the challenges and opportunities the fraternity faces today while reinforcing the Upsilon's legacy of excellence, leadership and service.

USPAA Chairman Roel Castro '84 will be the keynote speaker and will talk about “Putting the Upsilon House in Order and Mentorship as Legacy.”

USPAA President Yari Miralao '88 will deliver the President's Report highlighting the accomplishments of the 2023-2025 Board of Trustees.

Other Key Segments Include:

• Research Presentation: Fellow Jonvic Remulla ’87 will present valuable insights on leadership, academic excellence, and mentorship.

• Mentor-Connect: A dynamic activity bridging the wisdom of senior fellows with the aspirations of junior brothers.

• Upsilon Talks: Featuring notable speakers like Fellow Ted Herbosa ’78 and Fellow Jessie Andres ’81, who will share their journeys in public service and leadership.

• State of the Residents: Updates from the Diliman and Los Baños chapters will highlight recent achievements and ongoing initiatives.

• President’s Report: Fellow Yari Miralao ’88 will deliver the USPAA President’s Report, reflecting on the milestones that were achieved under the outgoing Board.

• Oath-Taking of the Members of the New Board of Trustees: The new set of officers and members of the 2025-2027 USPAA Board of Trustees will be taking their oaths of office.

• UNO Awards Ceremony: Recognizing exceptional brothers who embody the fraternity’s ideals and values.

This 20th Congress aims to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, inspire impactful mentorship, and pave the way for a brighter future for the fraternity and its members. Guided by the motto, “We gather light to scatter,” the Upsilon Sigma Phi continues to exemplify brotherhood, integrity, excellence, leadership and service through the years.

As we navigate the evolving challenges of our times, the 20th Upsilon Congress reminds us of the transformative power of brotherhood and mentorship in shaping the next generation of leaders.

The overall chairman of the 20th Congress is Fellow Czarevich “Charvy” Parra ’89, a USPAA 2023-2025 Trustee and head of its Fellowship Committee.
