House Launches SMART Internship Program
The House of Representatives under the leadership of House Speaker Martin G. Romualdez (1st District - Leyte) officially inaugurated the Strategic Mentoring and Research Training Internship Program (SMART) last August 15, 2023.
The House formally recognized the interns that have been selected in the program, these are graduating students from various colleges and universities who have been chosen to train and learn about the various functions within the House of Representatives.

"This is a visionary project that aims to groom the next generation of leaders. Through the SMART internship program, we hope to train future employees of the House of Representatives and potentially, future leaders of our country," said the Speaker.
"There is a lot of possibility and potential in you, it's all about you desiring to be what you want to be. But you all have the ingredients and now we are sharing with you this environment where you can be a critical part of nation building," added the Speaker as he addressed the interns.
