At Atlas Network's Freedom Dinner in New York City, Joseph Angeles accepted the 2023 Templeton Freedom Award on behalf of the Philippines’ Foundation for Economic Freedom. The $100,000 grand prize will accelerate FEF’s impactful efforts to open the doors to foreign investment in the country, bringing market competition, better services, and better services for over one hundred million Filipinos.

Named for the late investor and philanthropist Sir John Templeton, the Templeton Freedom Award annually honors his legacy by identifying and recognizing the most exceptional and innovative contributions to the understanding of free enterprise, and the public policies that encourage prosperity, innovation and human fulfillment via free competition.

The Foundation for Economic Freedom (FEF) is a public advocacy organization that aims to promote economic and political liberty, good governance, secure and well-defined property rights, market-oriented reforms, and consumer welfare in the Philippiness. They believe that incremental structural reforms at the legislative level are at the heart of achieving economic freedom.
