Meet the Speakers

As we kick off the new academic year, we're excited to introduce two distinguished legal professionals who will be speaking at our upcoming orientation event for incoming freshmen at the University of the Philippines College of Law.

Atty. Anthony V. Jacoba

Atty. Anthony V. Jacoba has represented clients in all levels of the judiciary and before regulatory agencies in the corporate, mining, energy, housing, land use, construction, and consumer protection sectors. He specializes in commercial litigation and arbitration, including contract disputes, intra-corporate or shareholder disputes, corporate financial rehabilitation and insolvency, and white-collar criminal cases. He also advises clients on a broad range of issues such as labor and employment, real estate advisory and land disputes, estate planning and settlement, intellectual property rights protection, tax litigation, corporate internal investigations, and corporate services. He serves as a director and corporate secretary of several companies.Atty. Jacoba is a senior lecturer at the University of the Philippines College of Law where he teaches Evidence and Special Proceedings. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor Degrees from the University of the Philippines, and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2010. He previously practiced as an associate with Angara Abello Concepcion Regala & Cruz (ACCRALAW) and a senior associate with SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan (SyCipLaw).

Atty. Ramon Quintin Allado

Atty. Ramon Quintin Allado is the managing partner of his Allado Zapanta Dela Cruz & Lim Law Offices, with over nineteen years of legal practice in criminal, civil, commercial, administrative, and appellate litigation. His extensive experience includes appearances before various government agencies, instrumentalities, trial courts, the Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court. He has a profound understanding of labor law, including labor relations, collective bargaining, labor disputes, labor standards, employee discipline, and more.Atty. Allado's expertise also extends to corporate law, where he assists in setting up and registering corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships, along with managing the necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements. He is actively engaged in immigration practice, handling deportation cases and processing visa applications and work permits for foreign workers.He earned his Bachelor of Laws (now Juris Doctor) degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law and was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2005. He serves as a Senior Lecturer at the University of the Philippines College of Law, teaching courses such as Torts and Damages, Credit Transactions, Transportation and Public Utilities, and Agency and Partnerships.
