Resident Fellows Conduct Medical and Legal Mission for PDLs in New Bilibid Prison

On August 26, 2024, National Heroes Day, the Upsilon Sigma Phi conducted its sixth installment of the monthly #UpsilonCares initiative and provided hot meals and medical and legal assistance for the persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in the National Bilibid Prison Minimum Security Compound in Muntinlupa City.

Together with the PDLs, the fellows prepared 500 hot meals primarily for the elderly within the compound. Fellows also manned booths offering legal and medical assistance for the PDLs.

This outreach was made possible with the help of Bureau of Corrections ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ด๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ผ ๐ฃ๐ถ๐ผ ๐ฃ. ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฟ. โ๐ด๐ฐ and Department of Justice ๐จ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ผ ๐. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ผ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฐ, and in partnership with Rightway Pharma and San Miguel Pure Foods. Undersecretary Marco 2024, who was present at the event, also delivered a speech to the beneficiaries.
