Three Brods Graduate from U.P. PGH Residency Program
Three Upsilonians, ๐๐ฟ. ๐ก๐ผ๐ฒ๐น ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐. ๐๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฏ, ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐บ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐น ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ต "๐๐" ๐ . ๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฐ, and ๐๐ฟ. ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฒ๐น ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ผ "๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ต" ๐ฆ. ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ผ๐น๐ณ๐ผ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฐ recently graduated from the residency program of the Philippine General Hospital.
A resident of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) is a licensed physician undergoing advanced training in a specialized field of medicine. Working in one of the country's largest public hospitals, they gain extensive experience in managing complex cases while contributing to the delivery of quality healthcare to underserved populations.
Dr. Noel Dolon, from the Department of Medicine, has extensive experience, including serving as a COVID-19 Volunteer Physician at UP-PGH and as a Project Coordinator with the UP Alumni Association. He later became the residency batch head and External Conference Coordinator for his department. Dr. Dolon earned recognition during the Annual PGH Research Week, securing 3rd place in the Residentsโ Case Report Visual Abstract Category for his study, โThe Enigma of Atrioventricular Block in a Patient with Hyperthyroidism,โ which provided valuable insights into the intersection of endocrine and cardiac conditions. A graduate of UP Manilaโs College of Public Health (BSPH, 2015), he furthered his education with a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Business Administration from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health, graduating in 2020.
Dr. EJ Magnaye, the Chief Resident for Academics in the Department of Pediatrics, has demonstrated exceptional leadership and scholarly achievements throughout his medical career. Previously, he served as the Assistant Chief Resident for Special Projects and Finance Officer of the PGH Physicians Association. In 2023, he earned distinction at the PGH Annual Research Week, securing third place for his oral presentation on a meta-analysis study. A graduate of the UP College of Medicine's Integrated Liberal Arts and Medicine (INTARMED) program, Dr. Magnaye earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2020 and successfully passed the Physician Licensure Examination later that year. Dr. Raph Rodolfo, the Chief Resident for Diagnostic Radiology in the Department of Radiology, previously served as Councilor and later as Vice Chairperson and Acting Chairperson of the UP Manila University Student Council. He was awarded the Gawad Chancellor sa Natatanging Mag-aaral in 2016. He was admitted into the UP College of Medicine's Integrated Liberal Arts and Medicine (INTARMED) program and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Basic Medical Sciences from UP Manila in 2018. He later graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the same university in 2020. He placed third overall in the November 2020 Physician Licensure Examination.
