In his continuing efforts to improve the health conditions of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), Bureau of Corrections Director General Greg Catapang '84 invited Dr. Alan Austriaco '86 to conduct free eye examinations at the Bureau of Corrections National Bilibid Prisons Compound.

Brod Alan was able to examine 108 patients, 60 of whom were advised to undergo cataract extraction. Plans are underway for the USPAA to assist these PDLs in need of eye surgery.
