BI and PEZA to Collaborate on 'Ease of Doing Business' Initiatives for Foreign Investors

Published December 1, 2024

PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga and his team paid a courtesy visit on newly appointed Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Atty. Joel Anthony M. Viado last 28 October 2024 at the BI Head Office in Intramuros, Manila.

During the courtesy visit, PEZA and BI discussed how they can further their partnership towards providing smooth and efficient immigration services to investors and PEZA locators and furthering the ease of doing business. Both agencies also vowed to enhance the implementation of the PEZA Visa for foreign nationals of PEZA RBEs.

PEZA, since its inception, has had its one-stop-shop service where government agencies that are crucial to investment processing are housed in PEZA for ease of doing business. This is now further enhanced with the greenlane policy of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

“We are positive that together with BI, we can further ensure a stronger implementation of the PEZA visa and provide green lane to our investors. We see this to become instrumental in our efforts to further attract more investments in the country,” noted the PEZA Chief.

For his part, Commissioner Viado expressed support on these initiatives in keeping with the call of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to enhance the country’s ease of doing business.
