The Upsilonians na Pumapalo will hold the annual Romy M. Liamzon '53 Memorial Cup at Valley Golf Club on October 17, 2023.

The golf tournament is in honor of the late Romeo Manahan Liamzon '53 who passed away in August 4, 1991 at the age of 55.

Romy '53 was a very active member of the Upsilon Sigma Phi and was the illustrious fellow in 1957. He was one of the founding members of the Upsilonians na Pumapalo which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Romy is the father of five Upsilonians namely Thad 81, Mike 83, Bobby 84, Don 89, and Rod 93. The Liamzon brood now also include third generation Upsilonians Roby 2014, Rafael 2018, and Miguel 2022.

The annual tournament started in the year of brod Romy's passing in 1991 and has been held every year except for the years 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Valley Golf and Country Club, where Romy served as President in 1989, has been the perennial venue.
