Alden Monzon 2004 is Trade Reporter of the Year

๐—”๐—น๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐— . ๐— ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜‡๐—ผ๐—ป ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฐ was recognized as the Trade Reporter of the Year at the 33rd Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines (EJAP) Business Journalism Awards held last November 8, 2024. He was also honored at the 2024 Jose G. Burgos Jr. Awards for biotechnology journalism for his outstanding contributions to biotechnology reporting.

The EJAP Business Journalism Awards is an annual event organized in partnership with Ayala Corporation which celebrates excellence in Philippine business journalism, highlighting Fellow Aldenโ€™s exceptional reporting in the field of trade and industry.

The Jose G. Burgos Jr. Awards for Biotechnology Journalism recognizes journalists who excel in covering developments in biotechnology, fostering awareness and understanding of its impact on society.

Alden M. Monzon works for the Philippine Daily Inquirer and covers a wide range of topics, including business, economics, and trade. Some of his recent articles include reports on BOI-passed projects, foreign and local business groups backing a land lease bill, and the expansion of the Philippines' flexible office portfolio. He finished his bachelor's in communication arts in U.P. Los Baรฑos.
