The Upsilon Sigma Phi Alumni Association is proud to announce that nominations for the UNO Awards are now officially open. Established in 1985, the UNO Awards honor outstanding Upsilonians who exemplify the fraternity's core values of Brotherhood, Integrity, Excellence, Leadership, and Service.

This year, we are honored to have Leovillo "Bill" Dela Cruz Agustin '58 serving as the Chairman of the UNO Search Committee. Brother Bill's distinguished leadership and unwavering commitment to the fraternity make him the ideal person to oversee this prestigious award.

About the UNO Awards: The UNO Award was conceived to inspire all members of the fraternity to aspire to higher standards of personal and professional conduct. Since its inception, the award has recognized ninety-seven exemplary Upsilonians whose lives and achievements reflect the fraternity’s Five Imperatives of membership. These Imperatives form the bedrock of the UNO Award criteria:

1. Brotherhood - Demonstrating love and concern for fellowmen, particularly fellow Upsilonians, through meaningful and supportive relationships.
2. Integrity - Upholding strong moral principles, fairness, honesty, and honor in all actions, consistently demonstrating ethical behavior.
3. Excellence - A commitment to superior performance, consistently striving for quality, and giving one's best in all endeavors.
4. Leadership - Exercising initiative, foresight, and dynamic character to achieve noble goals while guiding and inspiring others.
5. Service - A steadfast dedication to improving the lives of individuals and society at large, working for the greater glory of God, country, people, and family.

Nomination Process: All members of the Upsilon Sigma Phi Alumni Association are encouraged to nominate fellow alumni who embody these imperatives. Nominations will be accepted from June 15 to September 15, 2024. Each nomination should include detailed justifications, highlighting specific events and accomplishments that align with the award's criteria.

How to Nominate:

1. Obtain and complete the official nomination form.
2. Provide a comprehensive justification, including details on specific events and accomplishments that demonstrate the nominee's alignment with the Five Imperatives.
3. Ensure that at least two other Fellows who can attest to the nominee's qualifications and achievements affirm the nomination.
4. Submit the completed nomination form and all supporting documents via email to unoawards.searchcommittee@gmail.com or deliver them to the specified addresses.
